The performance of Cate Blanchett in “Truth” has dumbfounded Robert Redford and he showered the iconic actress with praises. Notably, Cate Blanchett’s acting resume has not yet disclosed any disorientation that can ask for a low score, rather her filmography is something equal of an aspiring actor’s paradise.
Cate has recently been applauded for her extraordinary character portrayal in the film “Carol” and moreover, her acting skill may call for a firm competition in the race of an Academy Award. Robert Redford, her co actor has uttered the same words of praise for the 46-year-old actress.
The 79-year-old veteran actor expressed his admiration towards the “Blue Jasmine” actress. The Academy award winner actor admitted he expected that the work experience with Cate in “Truth” may be a positive one but it ended up being too special to describe with words.
The Cinema Society and Giorgio Armani hosted a special screening at the Museum of Modern Art in New York where both Cate and Robert were present to embellish the event. The actor of “Out Of Africa” fame revealed that Cate was best in her performance and nothing could be better than that.
On the other hand, Cate regarded Robert, who essayed the role of legendary television journalist Dan Rather in the film, as a cultural icon. She was equally showed gratitude about her fellow Oscar-winning actor, showing that in spite of a successful career that spans more than half a century, he has no trace of ego.
This particular film will assemble actors like Barbra Streisand, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Mia Farrow, apart from Cate and Robert. Undoubtedly, the film has raised the bar of expectations not only with the skillful actors but also with the story line that depicts the journalist’s exit from CBS News. The political drama is a directorial debut for James Vanderbilt, who was popularly known as the writer and producer of films like “Zodiac”, “The Amazing Spiderman”, and “The Amazing Spiderman 2”. The narration will possess elements like the Vietnam War, Controversial News Bulletin by anchor Dan Rather and producer Mary Mapes, the tenacity of George W. Bush, the 2004 USA election, and many other political ingredients.
Though we are not sure about the directorial craft but Robert and Cate will be garnered with heaps of praises for being disarmingly natural in their performances. “Truth” will hit the theaters on October 16.
