CBS has once again ordered a Stephen King creation and adapting it into a TV series. The network has just ordered a put pilot for “The Things They Left Behind.” Read on for the full details.
Following the success of “Under the Dome” the network is apparently working its way to developing a possible hit TV series. “Arrow’s” Greg Berlanti and Seth Grahme-Smith will be working on the pilot episode of “The Things They Left Behind.”
The story revolves around the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attack and it will center around two investigators who are on a mission to finish the unfinished business of those who died on the attack. Based on Stephen King’s short story, which was published in 2006 follows a different story as it is about Scott who was able to dodge the 9/11 attack by not going to work on that same day. When the whole thing happened he felt guilty and started having nightmares and seeing the stuff of his co-workers in his place. King’s novel was first adapted by Pablo Macho Maysonet IV into a short film before it was given ordered by CBS.
According to Deadline, the network gave a pilot commitment to the potential TV series amidst a competition, which means that there is also another network that’s interested in the supernatural project.
