“Celebrity Apprentice” Season 7 Premiere “May the Gods of Good Pies Be with Us” aired last Jan. 4, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. on NBC. Donald Trump introduces to the 16 celebrity contestants that their challenge is to make and sell pies for charity. The team with higher sales will be the winner, and the project manager will receive money for his or her chosen charity. “Cake Boss” star Buddy Valastro will judge each team. The team with the best pie will have a bonus from Toshiba. Donald’s advisers for the week are his daughter Ivanka and Piers Morgan.

First, each team must create their group’s name. Brandi Glanville and Kenya Moore have a minor conflict because Brandi wants Team Gold while Kenya insists Team Infinity. In the end, Kenya’s idea is chosen. On the other hand, men call themselves Team Vortex.

Vivica A. Fox chooses Keshia Knight Pulliam as the project manager. The whole team agrees. Geraldo Rivera is Team Vortex’s project manager. While Team Vortex plans on their fund-raising activity, Ivanka enters the room. She sees Ian Ziering and admits she was a huge “90210” fan.

Before the challenge starts, both teams plan on their recipe for the pies. Each team must have sweet and savory pies. Brandi gets annoyed with other girls who are taking so long to decide how to call a taco-enchalada pie.

In Team Vortex, Sig Hansen suddenly burns the pie crusts. Almost 600 crusts are burnt. The team’s bakers and cooks choose “passable” ones because they do not have much time anymore. Upstairs, Gilbert Gottfried is making some suggestions on how to make the opening exciting, but Geraldo ignores him because he is busy contacting rich people.

Gilbert comes to the camera and says, “He loves me.”

Meanwhile, Kenya notices Keshia’s weakness of not focusing in the financial part of the event. She thinks social media alone is not enough. She insists they need bigger checks from rich contacts to win. She does not know why Keshia is not calling Bill Cosby, the father of Keshia in “The Cosby Show.”

Finally, the stores open. Johnny Damon is out in the streets, attracting customers. He is pretty popular with the crowd that makes the line outside the store longer. Gilbert was told by Geraldo to “supervise” the balloons, so he is outside screaming to the balloon designers.

Geraldo starts to greet his contacts who enter the store and give huge checks. Thanks to Kevin Jonas’s more than four million Twitter followers, he also contributes a lot of money for the team. In Team Infinity, Leeza is consistent in bringing rich people to donate for charity.

Piers visits Team Infinity to check their progress. He is not satisfied with their strategy because he believes they must focus in inviting rich people. In Team Vortex’s shop, he is very satisfied with the sales. However, he notices Lorenzo Lamas only generating $100. Kate Gosselin is also experiencing a similar problem in the other team. However, she generated zero. She says her contacts did not show up.

In the boardroom, Team Infinity wins the bonus from Toshiba worth $25,000. It will be added up to their sales. Jamie Anderson takes credit for the blueberry-peach pie idea, which became the best pie for Buddy. Shawn Johnson, however, still does not believe that their team will win. She emphasizes Kevin’s Twitter followers that will overpower their team single-handedly.

The results are Team Infinity generated $93,862 while Team Vortex reached $185,322. Geraldo wins $280,000 for his charity of the developmentally disabled.

Team Infinity stays in the boardroom for further deliberation. Kenya brings up that Keshia did not call Cosby. Donald agrees completely. He does not accept Keshia’s excuse of not communicating with the comedian for a long time. He thinks Cosby is a very rich man and can lead any team to victory. Brandi, however, thinks Kate must go because she generated zero sales and is “lazy.” Kate is so surprised and hurt because it is her first time to hear somebody calling her lazy.

After Keshia was asked who to return in the boardroom, she chooses Kate and Jamie. Donald is surprised to have Jamie because she is the reason why they had the best pie. In the end, Keshia is fired for not having the initiative to call Cosby.
