Channing Tatum’s Preparation for Gambit Role

Channing Tatum has impressed everyone with his “wish to die for” dance moves in “Step Up” and with him playing the role of Remy LeBeau aka “Gambit” in the upcoming solo movie due to release somewhere around 2016, fans couldn’t be any more excited. Tatum is reportedly so excited to do the role that he has already started to prepare for the role so that he can do complete justice to it. Read on.

According to Cinema Blend, after having arranged for a director to direct the movie, Tatum has already begun to prepare for the movie since he was the most pumped up for the role and was doing his level best to make the movie happen.

Screenwriter Reid Carolin who also happens to be Tatum’s partner in his production company Free Association said that although the actor has not developed a cajun accent like the character has but he has already started to pick other qualities that the mutant has. It was also reported that when Carolin accompanied by a friend of his went to visit Tatum at his home, found him learning some tricks from a famous magician David Kwong.

The most important skill that the mutant had was to throw cards and let me remind you, these were not your normal playing cards but they used to be charged with Kinetic energy that could gain a projectile and act as lethal weapons. Knowing a skill like this and some particular hand movements, Tatum will definitely look the part he is most excited about.

Tatum had been after this movie for almost a year. Since most of the details were in order, getting a director to direct the movie was becoming a little problem. However that little problem was solved when Rupert Wyatt known for directing “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” came aboard and was equally excited about the project.
