The much awaited chapter 72 of the manga “Attack on Titans” or “Shingeki no Kyojin” titled “The Night of the Operation” is all set to be released.

It will feature humanity’s final counter-attack on the Titan and the Survey Corps top officials will convene for probably the last time before embarking on a mission whose result will seal the fate of the walled city and its citizens. The Survey Corps, led by Smith leads the march into the Shighanshina District, backed by a huge support from the citizens. His aim is to unravel the mystery of the titan and the history of the world. The Night of the Operation is a very crucial chapter in the manga which has spawned multimedia all across the globe and has become a sensation. According to Robot6, Hajime Isayama’s “Attack on Titan” has more than 50 million copies in print worldwide; 2.5 million of those are in circulation in the United States, making it quite a phenomenon.

Meanwhile, Tetsuro Araki (Director of ‘Attack on Titan anime’) has announced that there won’t be a “Attack on Titan” Season 2 until next year -2016. “Death Note” famed director, who was at the helm of a successful season one is probably waiting for the manga to take a more formidable shape before starting filming the second season. “Attack on Titan” season one has covered 34 chapters of the manga and 4 story arcs and being just two arcs behind the manga it makes sense to wait for the story to develop.

According to spoilers at, “Attack on Titan” season 2 will have “Clash of the Titans” story arc and will follow the story of 104th Trainees Squad war against the Titans which have entered the wall. It will also follow the story of overthrowing the king who got corrupted.
