Charlie Hunnam revealed his “worst professional experience” in his entire career. Is he still bitter about letting Jamie Dornan take up the role of Christian Grey in “Fifty Shades?” Read on for more details.
The 35-year-old “Sons of Anarchy” actor admitted that letting go “Fifty Shades of Grey” had a big impact on his professional career and personal life.
Hunnam admitted that he still had bitterness about his sudden exit from the erotic movie. He revealed some heartbreaking details and the reason behind why he needed to let other actor take the role of Christian, and added that it was not because of the movie itself as other people speculated, but because of his other commitments and scheduling issues.
Moreover, when Hunnam had an interview with V Man, he expressed that giving up the role turned out to be his “worst professional experience.”
“It was the most emotionally destructive and difficult thing that I’ve ever had to deal with professionally. It was heartbreaking,” he told the magazine.
Hunnam was originally selected to play as Christian alongside with Dakota Johnson before he dropped out just before the filming was completed. He reportedly shot a few scenes for a few days and then quit, only to be replaced by Dornan, according to International Business Times.
On the other hand, though the actor revealed that the reason behind the “dropped out” issue was his hectic schedule, some fans don’t believe it as some rumors claimed that Hunnam was just afraid of the sexual content of the film, but again, the “Pacific Rim” actor insisted that it was not a great deal.
In his recent interview, he firmly denied the rumors, stating that he was actually doing that kind of scenes in national television since he was a teenager and it was way more than what “Fifty Shades of Grey” had to offer to the viewers.
