Recently, actor Charlie Hunnam has been creating a storm on various social media platforms, such as Twitter and Instagram, as fans of the “Sons of Anarchy” and “Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur” star tried to successfully snap some pictures with him while he was in Belfast. Hunnam, who is more popularly known due to his work on the biker drama “Sons of Anarchy,” and the film “Pacific Rim,” was recently in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in order to begin filming “The Lost City of Z”, over the weekend.
Hunnam’s involvement in the film, which also stars Sienna Miller, and “Twilight” star Robert Pattison, was reported by The Hollywood Reporter, who announced that the actor was replacing “Sherlock” star Benedict Cumberbatch. The latter had to bow out of the movie due to his landing the role of Stephen Strange in the upcoming MARVEL movie, “Dr. Strange.”
According to the reports on UTV and on The Inquistr, fans of the “Pacific Rim” actor tried to look for the star around town in order to be able to get a picture with him. Many were successful and posted the pictures on social media, specifically on Instagram and on Twitter.
The actor also got additional praise, as he didn’t mind posing for the pictures and he happily took them with his fans around the city. He was also seen wearing simple clothes, and a gray hat.
According to UTV, this hasn’t been the first time celebrities have been spotted around the neighborhood as other films and shows such as “Game of Thrones” have filmed in Belfast before.
