“Chasing Life” Season 1 Episode 4 “I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead” aired on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at 9:00 p.m. on ABC Family. April told another person about her condition. Read on to learn more about this episode.
Previously on “Chasing Life” (“I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead” Season 1 Episode 4), Leo (Scott Michael Foster) finally realized that April (Italia Ricci) is a reporter. Remember when they accidentally bumped into each other at the support group? Leo eventually assumed that perhaps April was there to write about him and Leo Jr. Oh no, Leo does not have a son yet. He referred to the tumor found in his brain as Leo Jr. During his sharing in the support group, it was evident in Leo that he does not fully support his dad’s campaign because it would open doors about his ordeal.
In this episode, we could see that April was still not ready to face cancer. She said that the only Cs that concerned her as of now were caffeine and concealer.
The part where Leo told April that he would grant her an exclusive interview was more surprising than him inviting her into the campaign party. April was so happy that he told the others in the office about her supposedly exclusive scoop.
During the campaign party, Leo announced and revealed to the world about his condition, screwing things for April. Somehow, in this part, Leo was teaching April a lesson about embracing and fully accepting her condition. But perhaps she would realized it later on.
Meanwhile, Dominic (Richard Brancatisano) was not helping comfort April when he started to talk about how he would not be able to deal with somebody who is sick. Come on, man! April IS sick.
April found out that Brenna (Haley Ramm) did not accompany their mom in her tango class. Mom was fine as we saw it. While arguing with Brenna, she blurted out that she has cancer. It was a touching moment when Brenna showed up to be with April during the biopsy.
