Cheryl Cole wed her French beau Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versin in a low-key ceremony. Read on to learn more about the secret wedding.
The 31-year-old singer revealed that she and French beau Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versin, 33, have tied the knot in a clandestine ceremony on July 7, 2014. Cheryl and the French restaurateur met at the Cannes Film Festival and have been dating for just over three months. Cole had formerly been married to footballer Ashley Cole, but they divorced in 2010.
According to Daily Mail, the couple got married on a beach on the Caribbean Island of Mustique with just four guests in attendance, including Cole’s mother, Joan Callaghan, and assistant, Lily England. The “X Factor” judge revealed the big news on social media, putting an end to speculations.
“I usually do not discuss my personal life but to stop the speculation I want to share my happy news… Jean-Bernard and I married on 7/7/14.We are very happy and excited to move forward with our lives together,” shared Cole on her official Facebook and Instagram accounts on July 14, 2014. She posted a close-up photograph of her wedding ring along with the wedding declaration.
Diamond jewellery expert, Lewis Malka, said the engagement ring is a 5-carat, emerald-cut diamond ring, enhanced with trapezium cut diamonds on the shoulders, in a platinum claw-set ring.
“Congratulations @misscheryl from all of us here. What a beautiful ring. A lovely, what looks like nothing less than 5.00ct emerald cut, flanked with trapezium cut shoulder diamonds in a platinum setting. Enjoy!! Is this your perfect ring,” posted Lewis on Instagram.
We are happy for Cheryl and Jean-Bernard. We wish the couple a great married life ahead.
