The last time we left Boden, he was framed for beating and assaulting a neighbor, who had actually tried to flirt with him, which later on, caused him to agree with Gabriela “Gabby” Dawson (Monica Raymund) that it seemed as if someone was trying to set him up and ruin his career.
According to the promotional video posted on Spoiler TV, it seems like he is done sitting on his hands doing nothing, as he, as seen in the video, and according to the official press release that was shared on Spoiler TV, goes after the person he thinks is responsible for all of his current misfortune- Maddox, who will be portrayed by Mark Hengst.
The press release also mentioned that Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) will be reaching out to former flame Jamie Killian (Rachel Nichols), whom he had met earlier in the season, in order to get her to try and help Boden out.
However, compared to Boden, Severide’s luck will be improving soon, as TV Line has teased recently that “Chicago Med’s” Yaya DaCosta, who portrays Severide’s childhood friend April Sexton, will be making another appearance on “Chicago Fire.”

According to DaCosta, the couple didn’t really solve their issues, as she had left for a trip around the world before coming back home and starting work at Chicago Med’s newest emergency department. She also hopes that this time around, those issues will be solved and reach some kind of closure.
