“Chicago PD” Season 3 Episode 5 “Climbing Into Bed” aired last Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 10:00 PM on NBC. In this episode,Officer Adam Ruzek’s (Patrick John Flueger) neck is out on the chopping block after a street deputy begins an investigation into him, after a shooting occurred during an unofficial undercover operation gone bad. Read on to learn more about this episode.

The episode began with Officer Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) undercover, unofficially, at a bar as his confidential informant, Jessie Conway (Billy Lush) had contacted him that his old cellmate, Frank Hancock, needed a wheelman for a robbery. Ruzek then informed Detective Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda) of his whereabouts, as he wasn’t on the job at the moment, and Antonio advised him to stay put. However, Ruzek had no choice but to go with Frank, who wanted to get to know him more.

However, before Ruzek could do anything, Frank drove his car into a restaurant, ambushed a robbery in progress and shot two thieves and one civilian being held hostage dead before fleeing. Ruzek, however, tried to go after him and called immediately for back up.

The next morning, they discovered that the woman who had died was the owner of the restaurant, much to the grief of her son, Jordan Sansone, and his father.

The target had been the jewelry shop next door, which was why they blasted a hole through the restaurant to get in to it. They had managed to get away with all of the jewelry.

Back at the squad room, while Ruzek was typing his report, he was visited by Deputy Emma Crowley (Barbara Eve Harris), a street deputy who was going to investigate into him.

They then managed to get Jessie to cooperate with them to find Frank, after they managed to locate Jessie’s girlfriend.

Meanwhile, Officers Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Sean Roman (Brian Geraghty) were ordered to follow Jordan, who had confronted them earlier while they were canvassing for witnesses to ask questions about the jewelry shop owner, who turned out to be squeaky clean. Along the way, they noticed him going inside a pet store called Pullman Pets.

Meanwhile, the others managed to track down Frank, thanks to the fact that he had just bought a truck from one of his co-worker. They then discovered the truck empty, and that Jessie had been shot dead.

They also discovered that Frank had been high school classmates with one of the thieves that he had killed, and that he had an anti social personality disorder.

After looking at the call records on one of the dead thieves, Craig “Mouse” Gurwitch (Samuel Hunt) discovered about pets store, which was where Burgess and Roman saw Jordan.

After interrogating the pets store owner, they discovered that Frank was in a motel, beating up Jordan. They then managed to capture him, and he told Ruzek that he had decided to kill them as he felt that they were going to cut him out of the score.

It also turned out that Jordan had planned to rob the jewelry store in order to get quick cash as he had a lot of serious debts that he owed to very dangerous people, and didn’t know that his mother would be at the restaurant that early.

Upstairs, Ruzek was stripped of his police powers, but was allowed to work for the meantime with the Intelligence Unit from within the house.

Afterwards, Detective Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush) and Detective Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) rekindled their relationship after buying a couch together for her apartment; and Roman was dealt with a heavy blow after learning that he couldn’t anymore donate his marrow to the little boy he had been helping, as he had developed acute anemia, which meant that the procedure had to be cancelled altogether.
