“Chicago PD” Season 3 Episode 9 “Never Forget I Love You” aired last Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 10:00 PM on NBC. In this episode, Detective Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush) became worried about Sergeant Hank Voight’s (Jason Beghe) handling their current case after discovering that the victim had ties to a gang within Voght’s social club. Meanwhile, Officer Sean Roman (Brian Geraghty) tried his best to protect Callie Gibson (Abby Lee) from her drunkard husband, Ritchie Gibson (Cory Scott Allen). Read on to learn more about this episode.

The episode began with Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) and Detective Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush) discovering the decapitated head of a girl in the river. By morning, they were able to get her body, which the medical examiner identified her as Victoria Wasson, a strip club dancer at a place owned by the Outfit.

Lindsay then started to become worried about how Voight would handle the case as members of the Outfit were members of the social club that Voight and his father belonged to.

Detective Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda), Detective Alvin Olinsky (Elias Koteas) and Officer Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) then paid a visit to the club, where they discovered several fake ID’s, which, upon investigating them, led them to discover that she was running a check cutting scheme for the Outfit.

Thanks to a tip from one of Voight’s Outfit friends, they arrested a guy named Charlie Kazlow (Louis Cancelmi), who had been seen fighting with Victoria the night she died. He then told them that he didn’t like her current boyfriend, and confessed to murdering Victoria after the Outfit’s lawyer, Jimmy Shelty (David Alan Basche), came in.

However, upon having the supposed boat and tools that he had allegedly used to transport the body, the Crime Technicians didn’t find any evidence that corroborated Charlie’s statements.

Things got stranger after Craig “Mouse” Gurwitch (Samuel Hunt) discovered that Charlie had been having a relationship with Lauren Wasson (Corinne Natyshak), Victoria’s little sister, who later told them that Charlie couldn’t have killed Victoria as he had been with her that night. They also learned that Victoria had been pregnant.

Charlie then told them that Victoria had been sleeping with Outfit boss Carlo Tafani (Michael Nouri), and he was brought in after it was discovered that a big amount had been wired to her from his account. However, it couldn’t have been him as he had had a vasectomy five years ago.

However, both Mouse and Lindsay had realized and discovered that Shelty had access to Carlo’s accounts, and had been the one who had killed her, as security footage from a nearby hotel showed that the two were romantically involved.

After they brought him in, Voight gave Shelty a choice- either he goes to prison or the mob would finish him off. He chose the latter, but Lindsay didn’t understand this until she saw him get picked up by Carlo’s right hand man, and after seeing Carlo walk out of Voight’s office.

Later that night, at Molly’s, Voight told her that the policeman connected to the mob, who used to swing by their house, had gotten sent up to prison for a robbery that he didn’t commit after Voight had discovered that that particular man liked young teenage girls, and had been worried about her own safety.

He then told her that he couldn’t explain everything that he did to protect her, but told her to never forget that he loved her.

Meanwhile, Officer Sean Roman (Brian Geraghty) and Officer Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) tried their best to protect Callie Gibson (Abby Lee) from her abusive and drunkard husband, Ritchie Gibson (Cory Scott Allen).

However, things quickly went south after they responded to another call at her house, in which Ritchie had beaten her up, causing Roman to go after him. Roman then shot him after assuming that Ritchie was going to pull a gun on him, but upon checking him, Burgess discovered that Ritchie had died and had been pulling out his cellphone and not a gun. Because of this, she called about Voight.
