Chicago PD” Season 2  Episode 19 “The Three Gs” aired last Wednesday, Apr. 8, 2015 at 10:00 p.m. In this episode, things got personal for Detective Alvin “Al” Olinsky (Elias Koteas). It was after their investigation into the deaths of several Chinese women led them to a criminal that Olinksy hadn’t been able to arrest before. Meanwhile, Nadia (Stella Maeve) took her psychological examination to become a police officer and Officer Sean Roman (Brian Geraghty) got less than he deserved after saving a young girl’s life.  Read on to learn more about this episode.

Detective Alvin “Al” Olinsky (Elias Koteas) met up with his daughter, Lexi (Alina Taber) for breakfast, along with Detective Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush). He did it in an effort to convince Lexi to become interested in becoming a police officer. However, all she wanted to be to become a roadie with her boyfriend’s band. Lindsay then volunteered to check him out, and the two responded to a call for patrol back up. It led them to a warehouse in Chinatown where they discovered several dead Chinese female immigrants handcuffed to a wall. Outside, Olinsky was shot at by a Chinese gunman who hit a woman and a little girl. Officer Sean Roman (Brian Geraghty) rushed the victims to ChicagoMed in the squad car, and pushed Officer DeLuca (Ricky Wayne) out of the way, who only cared about lawsuits instead of doing the right thing.

Before leaving for the precinct, they discovered that the Chinese girls had died of starvation. One of the girls’ parents then arrived at the scene. He told them that he had paid Dennis Lee (Kelvin Han Yee), who used to run Chinatown, to smuggle his daughter in. Olinsky, however, recognized the name, and afterward, became focused to bring Lee in.

Before the entire team assembled, Lindsay asked Craig “Mouse” Gurwitch (Samuel Hunt) to check out Lexi’s boyfriend for her.

They were then informed that Lee had been on the most wanted list for six years for smuggling in girls, guns, and gambling machines. They then raided the sweatshop owned by the gunman, Lee’s, nephew, Eddie Cao (Allen Theosky Rowe). He informed them that Lee was going to unload guns worth two million at the shipping yard in an hour.

At the shipping yard, they discovered that the buyer was a Triad leader named Jesse Kong (Brian Tee). Lee had set them up, as Lee had already picked up the guns earlier that morning.

While Mouse wired Kong’s car, Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) told Kong that all charges would be dropped against him if he delivered Lee to him in twelve hours time.

Later, Mouse informed Lindsay that Lexi’s boyfriend, a neo-punk musician, was clean. Meanwhile, Roman got suspended by Commander Fischer (Kevin J. O’ Connor) was DeLuca had filed a complaint against him.

The next morning, at two in the morning, Olinksy’s wife called Voight over as Olinsky was obsessing over the case. Voight then found him in his garage looking through his files by the name of Lee’s old mistress. He revealed to Voight that he felt responsible for the girls’ deaths. It was because Lee had escaped arrest due to a mistake that he had committed.

The next day, Mouse gave Olinsky the address of the mistress, Anna Tse (Li Jun Li) who refused to talk to them.

However, thanks to their surveillance on Kong’s car, they discovered that Lee, whom Kong and the Triad were going to go after, was currently at the Royale Hotel.

When they got there, a shoot- out occurred, and they managed to arrest both Kong and Lee. However, Voight had to snap Olinsky out of it as he was prepared to shoot Lee in the head.

Later, in interrogation, Voight informed Lee that no matter what he did, Anna would still go to jail for helping him out, and all the good that she had done for herself was going to be undone because of him.

Later, Sergeant Trudy Platt (Amy Morton) told Nadia (Stella Maeve) that their plan to beat her polygraph for her psychological examination had worked, and helped her to prepare for her physical exam. Voight then had DeLuca come to him, and told him to see a dentist friend of his. He warned him not to “shake down” any police officer from his district.

Before Olinsky went home, Lindsay warned him not to disappear under a rock, and gave him Lexi’s boyfriend’s file.

Later that evening, he surprised his wife and daughter by inviting Lexi’s boyfriend over for dinner.
