Ex EXO member Luhan is going to star in another movie. The new movie “The Witness” (我是证人) will be directed by Ahn Sang Hoon and will tell the story of a street urchin coming into contact with a blind girl who is under the witness protection of the local police. The film will premiere on October 30th in China and Korea, and will also be released in select theaters worldwide. Meanwhile, Luhan’s courtroom altercation with EXO’s owner S. M entertainment continues.
Chinese Music Star Luhan is back to entertain his fans with his acting prowess. The young singer and actor has already charmed people by acting in movies like “20 Once Again” also known as 重返20岁 in China, where he played the main character’s young grandson.
He is back on the screen to charm his fans with the new film, “The Witness,” where he plays a street urchin who has become an unwitting witness to a murder along with a blind girl who was also present. The blind girl obviously cannot identify the murderer visually, but is willing to identify his odour and voice.
The police task Luhan’s character to take care of the blind girl. The film is a remake of the Korean hit “Blind” (블라인드) which did big business three years ago.
It has not been revealed whether the new movie will have the same screenplay as the korean film from 2011. In the original movie, the blind girl is an ex-police cadet who is so gifted that she can identify the criminal by his strong scent. In the original movie, Luhan’s character helps solve the murder and eventually joins the police academy.
The production house probably had trouble with S. M Entertainment over the release of the movie as Luhan is still battling the EXO owners in court. On October 14, actors Luhan, Yang Mi, Zhu Ya Wen, and Korean director, Ahn Sang Hoon attended a Beijing-area press conference for the upcoming film.
K Pop Starz reported the news first.
