Chris Brown made a last minute cancellation on his New Year’s Eve concert in the Philippines. The singer reportedly could not make it because he lost his passport the day before the scheduled event, as previously reported by ABC News.
However, an insider from HollywoodLife.com claims that Brown intentionally decided to bail on the concert, as he wanted to welcome New Year with his girlfriend Karrueche Tran.
When the two got back together over Christmas, Brown “knew he wasn’t going to be able to make it to the concert.”
Before Team Breezy gets mad at Tran, the source emphasized that the model actually wanted him to fulfill his commitment. Brown, however, was quick to say that he “flat-out” did not want to.
“Some things mean more to me than money and my career and that’s you. I want to bring in my New Year with [Karrueche] and that’s what the f**k I’m going to do,” the 25-year-old declared.
Hours before he was scheduled to perform, the singer took to Twitter to announce that he would not be able to make it due to “unforeseen circumstances.” Brown, however, says that he would make it up and come to the Philippines in spring.
It’s no surprise that Brown wanted to spend every minute making it up to Tran, especially with the nasty public break-up they went through. The singer announced their split while performing in Los Angeles last month, boldly saying, “I'm single too! F**k that b***h.” Brown, however, was quick to apologize to Tran on Twitter for dissing out their personal problems on social media.
We’re happy that the two are back in each other’s arms, but was it really necessary for Chris Brown to cancel off his New Year’s Eve concert in the Philippines to be with Karrueche Tran? Let us know what you think.
