Who could forget the remarkable portrayal of Chris Hemsworth as the gorgeous and hot Norse god Thor? Apparently his popularity and great character is so widespread that even inmates recognized him immediately. What happened with the encounter between him and the inmates? And what has he done in the prison by the way?
According to US Weekly, Hemsworth revealed this experience in the Graham Norton show last Friday, Dec. 4. He visited a prison to do his preparations for his character in Blackhat. It is a common practice for some actors and actresses to have a close encounter with people from real-life scenario that will help them execute a believable acting performance.
Hemsworth shared, “I was researching a film and we had to basically go in and research what the inside of a prison looked like and speak with prisoners who wanted to talk to us,” as reported by People.
As much as possible he tried to be in incognito when he went there in the prison, however, the warden requested that he must take off his hat and after that he was immediately recognized.
He observed the inmates as he was moving from the cells, then later on, they started to tease him and calling him by his popular movie character name.
“The moment I started walking through the cells … I just started getting heckled, ‘Yo, Thor’s here man. Yo Thor, YO THOR!’ Where’s your hammer, man?’”
The actor tried to be as casual as possible and did everything to “blend in” but the inmates keep on heckling him. He shared that some are even inviting him to their cell for some talks. “‘Yo, come spend some time in my cell, baby!’”, he recounted while laughing and smiling in the interview.
We now know the extent of what Chris Hemsworth can do for the passion and perfection of his acting.
