Now that the “Avengers: Age of Ultron” is done with the production and is being fully furnished in the post-production, Chris Hemsworth appears in yet another movie that is not anchored on superheroes. Instead, it is it is based on the true-to-life event when men encountered one of the biggest whales in history — Moby Dick. Based on the book by Nathaniel Philbrick “In the Heart of the Sea: The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex,” Academy Award-winning director Ron Howard brings to the big screen “In the Heart of The Sea.”

“We were headed for the edge of sanity, like we were apparitions, phantoms. Trust gave way to doubt. Hope to superstition.”

Set in the 1820s when the whale business was thriving; the trailer offers image sequences of Hemsworth as he portrays the role of Owen Chase with 20 other men in the ship Essex. They all appeared excited to set out towards the new horizon until the conflict came in through an unknown gargantuan creature then toppled over their ship with ease, causing all men to go overboard and some, their lives. A story of survival, the trailer previews a humongous tale surfacing the seas as the surviving men catches a glimpse of the monster they were too naïve to believe they could capture.

Based on The Hollywood Reporter, “In the Heart of the Sea” tells the real events of what really transpired and inspired Melville to create the literary masterpiece "Moby Dick." In this film, Ben Whishaw plays Melville. Deadline then added that the movie is affixed by the harsh realities that the surviving men had to encounter with the crucial elements of “leadership, cowardice, bad decisions, and cannibalism.”

Apart from Hemsworth, “In The Heart of the Sea” also stars Benjamin Walker, George Pollard, Cillian Murphy, Tom Holland, Brendan Gleeson, Jordi Molla and Ben Whishaw. It opens in theaters next year, March 13, 2015.
