“Star Trek 3” has been going through series of tumultuous ups and downs ever since J.J. Abrams left the helmsman seat and lessened his involvement to just executive producing. Roberto Orci almost had his directorial debut but things got changed in the production. Now, “Fast Five” helmsman Justin Lin is taking the reins for the film. Be that as it may, despite all the chaos its production is facing right now, you could say that the USS Enterprise crew got each other’s back with the way they support each other in the production scene. Last time, Simon Pegg put in a good word
Last time, Simon Pegg put in a good word about Roberto Orci being the director but things didn’t really work out for him in the end. But now, speculations are surfacing that the engineer of the USS Enterprise, Scotty ergo Simon Pegg will be in on the pinning of the film’s screenplay. On the other hand, Captain Kirk is more than happy to hear the great news and give positive remarks on the matter.
Screen Rant highlighted Chris Pine being all smiles and positive when he was asked to comment on Simon Pegg’s involvement in the development of “Star Trek 3’s” screenplay during an interview with MTV News at the Sundance Film Festival last Jan. 25, 2015.
“We are worried. Vast, vast Simon Pegg monologues,” Pine said in the interview.
“We’re all really excited because I think what we enjoy about it is that we have a laugh and we want to make sure that that’s still kind of embedded in there so to have Simon writing it is the perfect fit.”
As of late, Paramount Pictures has not issued further statements regarding any possibilities of having the film’s release date altered from their initial proceedings. They are basically still keeping their 2016 opening with their plans of kick – starting the production this spring.
Everyone seems to be hopeful that Pegg will be the main man for the script and that ends our scoop on Chris Pine more than happy to address his positivity on the matter. Continue to visit Movie News Guide (MNG) for more updates in the entertainment industry.
