Chris Pratt wowed many hearts as Peter Quill in the “Guardians of the Galaxy,” and we are all looking forward to him reprising his role as Star Lord again in “Guardians of the Galaxy 2.” Pratt has been keeping busy with philanthropy lately. His Saturday Night Live (SNL) impression of Jason Statham just goes to show that he is sterling at comedy too. Read on.
It seems to us that Pratt is a gem of a guy. When he is not entertaining kids at a children’s hospital, he is doing excellent work via the comedy circuits on shows like SNL. According to IGN, His new SNL short is a skit where Pratt pretends as Jason Statham selling steaks. The video is a commercial for a line of steaks called Jason Steakums. His character, which is based on the British actor, helpfully points out the right way of eating Statham’s Jason Steakums. He even sells bottled water that would help you down the unpalatable steak that is wholly made out of, I quote, cow face.
Pratt is the new star to rise on Hollywood’s Horizon. Audiences are still enamoured with his latest, “The Jurassic World.” The movie is still pulling big crowds and it has already beaten other blockbusters in ticket sales. It has gone on to be the first film to gross $500 million worldwide in a single weekend. It is also the eighth highest grossing film of all time. And it hasn’t even finished its first month in the theatres.
It isn’t Pratt’s first time on the SNL as he’s done several skits on the Saturday Night Live show including his memorable Superhero skit.
Pratt is excellent at comedy and he knows it. The audience can hope to see many such appearances in future from him. It would be delightful to have fresh comedy from him every now and then.
