Christian Bale Shares About ‘The Dark Knight’ Trilogy Ending the Right Way

Christian Bale gives his thoughts in relation to the possible furthering of Christopher Nolan’s "Dark Knight," and he strongly believes that the franchise ended at the right time, in the right way. Read on to know more about this scoop.

After years of having Marvel/Disney storm the theaters with their films belonging in one Cinematic Universe, they finally now have a head-to-head competition with their superhero-comic book adaptations. The Warner Bros.-DC Comics partnership is now gearing up to fully create one unified production that will cater to the actualization of a series of "Justice League" movies. With everything back to zero, the most recent actor who played the role of Bruce Wayne shared his opinion about the ending of “The Dark Knight” franchise, highlighting how director Nolan’s decision to end it is never more right.

Screen Rant had the feature that tackled about the delay in the further production of the DC Comics movie adaptation. It was all due to the strong presence of Nolan’s “The Dark Knight” trilogy that it was considered as a standalone creation. Crossing over of characters/superheroes would be impossible because Bale’s version of Bruce Wayne was basically the only living hero in the creative medium.

The year 2012 marked the end of the franchise, with “The Dark Knight Rises” concluding and the rest of the film’s main elements — director Nolan and actor Bale, stepping out of the picture permanently. However, some rumors remained that Bale’s Batman would still be involved in the coming Warner Bros.-DC Comics movie projects. All of them were eradicated when Bale voiced his opinion on the matter during his interview with IGN as he promoted his screening film “Exodus: Gods and Kings.”

The actor shot down the rumors by simply saying: “Ours doesn’t belong in any other version at all. It was appropriate to leave at the right time.” It would appear that the prolific fandom of “The Dark Knight” must embrace the end and they will have to welcome Zack Snyder and Ben Affleck’s Batman in “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.” The movie will open in theaters on March 25, 2016.

That concludes our scoop on Christian Bale’s take of being Batman in DC Comic Cinematic Universe. Keep tabs on Movie News Guide (MNG) for more movie updates.
