‘A Christmas Carol’ And ‘Oliver Twist’ To Run In Theaters This Christmas

The most wonderful play of Charles Dickens, “A Christmas Carol” has been running since last three decades at Ford’s Theater every Christmas. However, this year there is something special on the cards as the writer’s yet another work based on his renowned novel “Oliver Twist” will be showcased. The musical based on the novel will be live at Arena Stage on December 25th.

The special highlight of both the shows will be depiction of major characters by small boys. Truly interesting that is! For the third time consecutively, Harrison Wright who is just nine years old will be playing the character of Tiny Tim in “A Christmas Carol.” His father works for old Ebenezer Scrooge.

The small kid says that Scrooge is a good man but he has to act getting scared from him. The role of Tiny Tim is a major highlight to the story as he brings the positive factor and is a messenger of love and acceptance to the world. While another character of Oliver, Jake has been chosen.

He is fond of dance and has learnt it professionally. He has the basic task of swinging a broom without hurting anyone, which he thinks is a very nice thing to do. The ten-year old boy has got the part and has managed to complete all his shows since the beginning.

For all the young boys, this is certainly interesting to begin their Christmas with and they are keen enough to be a part of these shows till they are running. For them getting popular like big celebrities might not be the need of the hour but getting a stage might surely be. For those who will be in the town don’t miss the opportunity to see the show!
