Is Christopher McQuarrie Onboard to Direct ‘Mission: Impossible 6?’

As we already know, “Mission Impossible” franchise will get a sixth part too and its shoot will start from August next year, as revealed by the main lead of the film series Tom Cruise on The Daily Show. Christopher McQuarrie, the writer and director behind the fifth part, has joined the sixth part as a writer too but no clear information was there in relation to him joining the project as a helmer too, but if we believe the information quoted by Variety recently, then the talk of McQuarrie’s boarding the project as a helmer is in its final stage.

Yes, a close source to the Paramount Pictures and Skydance has revealed about the studios eagerness to keep McQuarrie on the director’s chair for the sixth part too and how seriously the director-cum-screenwriter was approached for the same.

As mentioned earlier that the makers have decided August 2016 to start the work on project, it seems that preparations are in full swing keeping the date in mind and this is the reason why the makers are after McQuarrie and almost in the final stages of finalizing him as director.

Tom Cruise, who became famous and till date called by his “M:I” character’s name Agent Hunt, is currently busy with his another project’s sequel titled “Jack Reacher: Never Go Back” in New Orleans, and is very excited as far as the sixth part of the “M:I” series is concern.

Other members like Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner, Ving Rhames and IMF overseer, Alec Baldwin most probably will return, but no confirmation has yet been received. And if we talk about a female for the sixth part then it seems another new face will join as happens every time.

Well, as far as the popular reports have been concerned McQuarrie has nothing big under his kitty currently so, most probably he will accept the offer and soon we will receive news related to this. It will be a very great factor for the studios, team and McQuarrie too as they all know the stage of “M:I” already so they don’t take time to develop the intensity and passion for the sixth part. Let us hope for the best and keep reading this space for more updates on the same.
