Cleveland Cavaliers were the obvious favorites last season and it was just bad luck that they couldn’t win the title. Their luck seems to have improved this time with both LeBron James and Kevin Love recovering enough to play the season opener against the Chicago Bulls on the Bull’s home turf.
The Cleveland Cavaliers had it tough. Their star players were all out with minor injuries all through summer and it looked a bit iffy whether or not they could show up for the season games. LeBron James was complaining about a sore knee and a back problem and Kevin Love was recovering from a shoulder surgery.
The Cavs got lucky with these two; both LeBron James and Kevin Love are back on the court and have tried out their luck in practice sessions. The two are going to play the season opener with Chicago Bulls.
Kyrie Irving is going to be out though and so is Iman Shumpert. Kyrie Irving is trying to recover from a knee surgery and may not return for the first few games, but he may return to play midseason or the tail ending games.
We just hope that the Cavs win enough games this season to play the tail end games of the season. Iman Shumpert is recovering from a wrist surgery which will need at least a couple of months of rehab before he can join his team on the court.
It is these problems that might bring the Cavs down on the court. The good news is that the team finally signed on Tristan Thompson who was finally signed in for a five year contract for 82 million dollars plus guaranteed money. The team manager said that they need bigs like Thompson now, and we do agree.
