  • Kristen Bell’s opening of the ceremony was worth watching. Her husband Dax Shephard was accompanying her and she called him the most adorable man in the arena.
  • Kristen crooned the song “moose knuckle” and it was absolutely entertaining.
  • Carrie Underwood presented the honor to Alan Jackson for 20 years of memorable music videos with performances by Kacey Musgraves and Lee Ann Womack.
  • Luke Bryan’s performance.
  • Blake Shelton presented the award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year to Cassadee Pope. The noteworthy point is, she won the third season of “The Voice” and Blake was her mentor. • Shelton tweeted right after presenting the award, saying “Congrats @CassadeePope on your CMT award!!!! So proud.. I love you sis!!!!!” Shelton won Male Video of the Year for “Doin’ What She Likes.”
  • John Legend along with Jennifer Nettles and Hunter Hayes for the first time ever, took the stage at the CMT Music Awards 2014 and performed a country version of “All of Me.” It was an overwhelming experience to watch them perform altogether.
  • Unsurprisingly, the hottest moment of the night was the concluding feat by Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood singing “Something Bad.”
