Die-hard comic book fans may have gotten heart attacks when they discovered that Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, and Smulders’ Maria Hill weren’t present in the official cast list of the upcoming “Captain America: Civil War.” The two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents did play a big role in comic book event “Civil Wars,” which inspired the upcoming film.
Within the earth-shattering comic book event, ex-Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Nick Fury went underground. He helped the forces of Captain America, and those who were opposed to the Superhuman Registration Act. This meant going against the proponents and enforcers of the Act. It included Tony Stark, or Iron Man, the entire S.H.I.E.L.D., and its new Director, the tough as nails Maria Hill.

However, Smulders told The Daily Beast that she was amazed at being part of something big such as the MARVEL Cinematic Universe as one’s job isn’t done with just one or two movies. There are other things, such as video games, in the franchise that one can still be a part of.
