In an exclusive report made by HNGN website, the 35-year-old author, Hoover, became well-known because of her first novel, “Slammed,” in 2012 and since then she has gone on to have seven of her novels, and one novella, hit no. 1 on the New York Times Best Seller list.
Hoover’s novel fall under the category of New Adult and Young Adult and many of her readers have referred some of her gut-wrenching novels as “The Notebook” meets “Fifty Shades of Grey.”
Though many people say that her novels are like the usual stories you could read around the corner of every library and bookstores in the city, and sense that there’s something about it that made readers still buy it.
Hoover’s style of writing is somewhat interesting. Her stories can make you laugh, wonder, get you curious about different things, and make you cry. Her words are like a bridge from her heart to your heart—it can break you, and it can also help you pick up all the pieces that went missing when you broke down. The shocking twists and turn of events in her every novel makes you wonder, how can she pull it off? How can she make us fall in love with her every story, with her characters? These things make her one of the most favorite authors of our generation.
Never in her mind that her first novel, which is “Slammed” will get published and she’s more than happy that it even received five stars by major book blogger Maryse Black. From then on, Hoover decided to turn it into a best-selling trilogy. This move made her released several more best-selling novels—“Hopeless,” “Maybe Someday,” Ugly Love,” and “Confess.”
Now, another achievement is waiting to happen to Hoover, as she is set to make her book “Ugly Love” into a movie.
People really enjoyed her “Ugly Love”that it made producers decide that it makes sense to turn it into a movie and according to the teaser, the movie is still in pre-production and set to be released at some point next year.
However, HNGN reported that Hoover won’t be taking any part of the film-making process at all, but has “absolute confidence that Hackybox Pictures will do the book justice” and is “excited to see how it plays out.”
Hackybox Picture’s founder Cody Hackman chose his good childhood friend Nick Bateman to play the lead role in “Ugly Love.” Bateman is a 28-year-old actor and model and was once up for the part of Christian Grey in “Fifty Shades.” Though the young Canadian artist did not get the part of Grey, he surely is perfect with this upcoming movie, even Hoover believes he is the perfect choice for Miles Archer.
Bateman on the other hand posted a photo of himself holding up a copy of “Ugly Love,” hinting that it could be a new project he was working on.
Meanwhile, Hoover also has a new novel entitled “November 9.’ It will be coming out on November 10, and she “hasn’t been this excited about a release in a long time.” Even her boss has admitted that it’s her “favorite.”
