Colton Haynes Speaks LGBTQ, ‘Arrow’, ‘Teen Wolf After Coming Out

Colton Haynes just came out gay and fans just fell in love, more. If there is a way to emphasize the term, please do. But apparently, the “Teen Wolf” and “Arrow” hunk experienced dark hours – and all were recorded via interview.

The 27-year old Kansas-born actor revealed that he has ulcer. This may be an effect of his anxiety disorder – especially in overcoming his coming out. Entertainment Weekly reports Haynes is suffering “had to step back” from show business to take care of his health.

He reveals himself as a person who “had terminal anxiety” and “physically ill, fainting.” Remember, Colton Haynes’ stardom began when he appeared in a photoshoot for Abercrombie & Fitch, started his film career in “Transformers” in 2007, and went straight to “CSI: Miami” and “The Hills”. Through his nonstop shoots, his ignorance towards his health led his absence in “Teen Wolf” and “Arrow” in several occasions.

“I should have made a comment or a statement, but I just wasn’t ready. I didn’t feel like I owed anyone anything. I think in due time, everyone has to make those decisions when they’re ready, and I wasn’t yet. But I felt like I was letting people down by not coming forward with the rest of what I should have said,” Haynes began speaking to EW regarding his preference and the people’s reactions.

“It took me so long to get to this point, but I’m doing so good,” says Haynes, who had been out to his relatives and peers ever since his high school days. “I’m happier than I’ve ever been, and healthier than I’ve ever been, and that’s what I care about.”

For him, informing the mass is not an obligation. But instead, people shall accept ones’ perspective on relationships regardless of preference.

Nevertheless, the society today has become progressive towards accepting gays and lesbians, and will never stop changing for the battle towards homophobia is not yet over.

Colton Haynes admitted that he entered rehab for his anxiety disorder in the previous year, as per Mirror.
