Conde Nast Entertainment’s TheScene, a web site that hosts original online content and videos, has picked up a web travel series entitled “HeyUSA.” It will star YouTube personalities and best friends Grace Helbig (“It’s Grace!”) and Mamrie Hart (“You Deserve a Drink”). Read on to learn more about this scoop.

It is a testament to our highly digitized time that the advent of online streaming video platforms, such as YouTube, have given rise to musicians, actors, shows, and personalities. Now, Helbig and Hart, two of the well-known Youtube personalities, teamed up with Austronauts for “HeyUSA.”

According to Deadline, the web series was picked up the company due to their popularity. It will be released eight thirty minute full episodes of the web series on Oct. 15, 2014.

“HeyUSA” features the two as they spend eight weeks during the summer to tour around the United States of America. The duo head to different states and experience them based on suggestions given to them on social media, such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

So far, the pair have gone to Arizona, Alaska, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Portland, Louisville, Texas and Provincetown. Blooper reels, and behind the scenes videos of the web series were also uploaded, in an effort to build up the anticipation of the Oct. 15, 2014 premiere date.

The web series was created by Astronauts Wanted, a joint online venture between Judy McGrath, the former MTV Networks Chairman and CEO, and Sony Music Entertainment. The online venture hosts and produces other shows such as  “Followed”, “Tawk” and “Day Off”.

Conde Nast’s Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategy Whitney Howard also said that episodes of the web series will be available online for a week before it is “syndicated” to the site’s partners, such as Yahoo and AOL.

Aside from “HeyUSA”, TheScene has other shows and partners on its site, such as Variety, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Wired, Allure, Forbes, BuzzFeed, The New Yorker, and more.
