Cinedigm in partnership with Wizard World will be launching the digital streaming network, CONtv, a television service dedicated to convention goers, set for a Mar. 3, 2015 release. Read on for more details on this story
According to Comicbook.com, the producers of the largest chain of Comic Con and pop culture conventions in the United States, will be launching CONtv. It is a digital streaming network aimed at the Convention going crowd. CONtv will provide consumers access to thousands of hours of exclusive content, an original slate of programming, as well as a vast digital catalog of over 1,200 titles, including cult television shows and genre movies encompassing sci-fi, horror, fantasy, anime, grindhouse, and martial arts action.
“CONtv is designed to be the epic destination for every fan, every day, created by fans, for fans, and constantly improving based on fan feedback, the channel will not only serve as an extension of our hugely popular live events, but will be a place where fans can discover, inform, revisit and help make the best in pop culture.” Wizard World CEO John Macaluso said in a press release.

The network’s original series include:
“Fight of the Living Dead,” a combination of reality and scripted genres following nine YouTube stars as they work to survive the first 24-hours of a simulated zombie apocalypse
“Last Fan Standing,” a game show filmed live at Wizard World Comic Con conventions nationwide and
“My Morphin Life” follows television and digital star Jason David Frank of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers franchise through his daily adrenaline-fueled antics to give fans a thrilling look inside his base-jumping, high-flying life as he breaks world records, greets fans, raises his daughter and tackles death-defying stunts.
CONtv has licensed content from distributors including Starz Digital Media, RLJ Entertainment, DHX Media, The Jim Henson Company, Full Moon Films, Sentai Filmworks (aka Anime Network), Well Go USA, and Zodiak Media. Here are some of the shows CONtv will offer at its launch.

CONtv will launch on Mar. 3, 2015 and will be available on Android, Apple iOS, Samsung, Smart TV, Xbox, Roku and on mobile and tablet devices.
