“The Corrs” is back! After a decade, the family of four has taken the stage again and performed in front of a live audience.
According to RTE, the band performed their first-ever live gig during the BBC Radio 2 Live In Hyde Park concert in London over the weekend. This is the first time that “The Corrs” performed after they took a hiatus in 2005. The band is known to be one of the most successful Irish groups of all time. They have sold over 40 million albums over the world during their time and now that they are coming back, they might sell more than that!
In June 2015, “The Corrs” confirmed that they are coming back and will be releasing their new album very soon.
“We’re in the process of making a new record, so it feels just right to do this. It’s exciting. We emerged after our lives going in different directions – babies and all that,” lead singer Andrea Corr told BBC Radio 2 this summer 2015.
They performed their hit songs “Breathless,” “Runaway” and their cover of “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac. During their London gig, “The Corrs” also released a teaser video ahead of their gig in London.
