Piper Perabo, the “Covert Affairs” star, has a new mission to fulfill — being a wife. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress tied the knot with executive producer and director Stephen Kay last Sunday, July 26, 2014. Read on to learn more about the story.
Perabo, a television and film actress, gained recognition in 2000, when she starred in the film “Coyote Ugly.” Since then, she has appeared in various films, such as Steve Martin’s family comedy “Cheaper by the Dozen 1 and 2” (2003 and 2005); Christopher Nolan’s “The Prestige” (2006); and the action and science fiction film “Looper” (2012).
Her television credits include guest roles on “House MD” and “Law and Order: Criminal Intent.” Currently, she stars in USA Network’s hit television espionage show, “Covert Affairs,” as CIA Agent Annie Walker, which earned her a Golden Globe Nomination in 2011 for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series.
Stephen Kay, the groom, is an actor, director and executive producer. He is best known for directing the 2000 film “Get Carter,” which starred Sylvester Stallone and Miranda Richardson. As an actor, he is best known as Reginald Jennings on the daytime soap opera “General Hospital,” which he portrayed from 1998 to 2003.
The couple met on the set of the hit USA Network show, “Covert Affairs,” in which Stephen Kay produced and directed several episodes. Most recently, he directed Episode 2 “False Skorpion,” and Episode 3 “The Unseen Power of the Picket Fence,” in the current season of the show.
The two announced their engagement to the public in September 2013.
According to LA Times, Perabo wore a long nude and silver Michael Kors dress, accompanied with a yellow veil. The groom wore a three-piece blue suit and a fedora.
The couple made their way to their reception on foot, accompanied by a New Orleans style band.
