A new season of “Covert Affairs” brings back our favorite CIA agents, more dangerous and exciting new missions, new characters, and of course, new relationships. Read further to learn more about this scoop.
For CIA Agent Annie Walker (Piper Perabo), this comes in the form of Ryan McQuaid (Nic Bishop), the owner and CEO of McQuaid Security, a private security outfit where Arthur Campbell (Peter Gallagher) now works.
In the previous two episodes of “Covert Affair,” Annie reluctantly teamed up with Ryan McQuaid in order to capture Borz Altan, a man in which both Annie and McQuaid had vested interests in. Afterwards, the pair had to work together again in order to safely get out of Venezuela.
However, this is not the last time that we will hear from him, as the last few moments of Episode 3 “The Unseen Power of the Picket Fence” show Annie receiving a much-needed item as a present from McQuaid — a shiny new gun. With this gesture, it proves that Ryan McQuaid knows his way to a spy’s heart and that he is definitely not out of the picture and out of Annie’s life yet.
In an exclusive sneak peek from TV Line, the Episode 4 “Elevate Me Later” promises to give us a little hint in the direction of Annie’s new life, and relationship, as McQuaid calls Annie over the phone and tells her that he will be unexpectedly in Washington DC and would like to see her again. He goes on to ask how she liked his little gift and asks her out to be his plus one to a black-tie gala affair happening that very night. McQuaid proves himself to be a man who does not easily give up, as he pursues Annie both romantically and professionally. This will prove to be interesting, given the fact that Annie has promised herself to keep her professional and personal life separate.
Viewers will also have an extra treat in the upcoming episode, as it sees the return of Annie’s old friend, Mossad agent Eyal Lanvin (Oded Fehr).
