Lea Salonga made a mesmerizing appearance in the finale episode of “Crazy Ex Girlfriend”. The show unfolds the Filipino culture and viewers are eager to watch her perform in at least one of the episodes of the show.
She sang “One Indescribable Instant“, while creator Rachel Bloom appeared playing the lead character of Rebecca Bunch and there were references of Aladdin in a romantic encounter, along with Josh Chan, played by Vincent Rodriguez III. After the performance, Lea Salonga’s song was uploaded on YouTube by CW Network, reports GMA News.
The show talks about the life of Rebecca and how she makes an “insane” decision of quitting her job and then relocating to West Covina, California after she bumped into her high school sweetheart, Josh.
In an interview with Broadway World, Salonga talks about her returning to her roots at the New York Pops Gala. While revealing her favorite memories with Alain Boublil & Claude-Michel Schönberg, she says that she able to recall only the new ones which stand out, as compared to the old ones. Talking about her favorite song, she says “Philip’s devolution from “Stars” to his final soliloquy , leading to his suicide was a master class in how to act and sing at the same time. I get chills just thinking about it!”
Sharing news on her upcoming projects she simply said, “The only thing waiting for me once The New York Pops Gala is over is another season of The Voice Kids.” She even said that she feels amazed on seeing the immense talent in the Philippines and it all depends on the mentor on how he can mould and bring out this hidden talent.
Rachel Bloom has received the Golden Globe Award, as well as Critic’s Choice Award for her portrayal of Rebecca and moreover, the show has been nominated for a People’s Choice Award.
“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” is already renewed for its second season.
