Just as the seasons constantly change, sometimes, for one reason or another, celebrities and entertainers who host shows either on television or on radio, sometimes have to step down and pass the torch to another celebrity host, just as Girls’ Generation Sunny is doing to singer and actress Park Ji Yoon, who will be filling in the busy girl pop idol’s shoes in a few days. Read on to learn more about why Girls’ Generation’s Sunny is stepping down from being the host of “FM Date”, and to learn more about Park Ji Yoon’s recent activities.
In the entertainment industry, not everyone is always called on to be an actor or actress. Sometimes, they are called upon to become hosts or emcees for television variety shows and radio shows, where they end up cultivating both a niche and a fan base for themselves.
However, as projects do have a tendency to pile up, sometimes, celebrity hosts have to step down in order to focus their attention on the other projects that they have to do.
According to Soompi, Sunny, although she loves the show very much, decided to step down, and will have her last show this coming November 15, 2015, due to the fact that Girls’ Generation, the group she is a member of, will be very busy with concerts both in Korea and abroad, and will not give her enough time to do the show.
Therefore, starting on November 16, 2015, according to All K Pop, actress and singer Park Ji Yoon will be taking over Sunny’s hosting responsibilities on the show, and will go on air from eight to ten o’clock in the evening, Korean time.
Park Ji Yoon, who made her comeback into the entertainment industry three years ago, according to All K Pop, is currently part of the main cast of the JBTC mystery television variety show, “Crime Scene”, along with Jang Jin, Hani, Hong Jin Ho, Jang Dong Min and more, which is currently in its second season.
