"Criminal Minds" Season 10 Episode 7 “Hashtag” aired on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at 9:00 p.m. on CBS. The team investigated on the mystery behind the Mirror Man. Read on to learn more about this episode.

Previously on "Criminal Minds" ("Hashtag"), The team led by Aaron "Hotch" Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) tried solve a crime involving social media celebrity wannabees who got killed by a criminal who pretended to be a Mirror Man.

The first victim of the Mirror Man was Tara Harris. Tara loved taking selfies daily. She spent most of her time on social media as she really wanted to be famous. When Tara and her gay friend were on their way home, they met Tara's stalker, Charles. The stalker kept on talking such personal details about Tara and about the numbers of followers. Because of Charles admiration to Tara, the social media celebrity wannabee offered a selfie with him.

When Tara got home, the last person that she talked to was her gay friend. After their conversation, the killer appeared and smashed Tara’s in the mirror and slit her throat. When the victim was confirmed dead, the killer took a photo of the victim and made it look like a selfie shot.

The team’s first suspect was Charles, as he was stalking Tara. They also learned about an urban legend on social media about the Mirror Man. Some of the photos that they gathered showed an image of a face in the mirror, which looks like Mark Twain. If the said image appeared in selfie, according to the story, he/she will be the next victim of the Mirror Man. While discussing about the urban legend, Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) said that the story is based on "Creepy Pasta." This website contains articles about creepy stories.

Meanwhile, there were three boys who were talking about their selfies, which has a face of the Mirror Man. One of them got worried as he may become one of the victims. While discussing about their photos, they saw a man who was famous in social media, with 50k followers. Next day, another person was found dead. The killer used a nail gunand left a symbol which looked like a hashtag. 

The next victim posted a video on Vine, where he said: "Fear this, Mirror B****." When he got home, the Mirror Man shot his hands, next the legs and, lastly, on the face.

They arrested Connor Holt as he usually talked about the Mirror Man. During the interrogation with Connor, Morgan learned that he was the one who created the story of the Mirror Man.

Jennifer "JJ" Jareau (A. J. Cook) and Kate Callahan (Jennifer Love Hewitt)  found out that Connor was not the only one who's developing the story. . They found out that it was William, a junior high who made the story into reality.

Penolope  was able to locate where William was working. When Morgan, JJ, and Kate arrived, William took a woman as hostage.  When William noticed the media, he faced the camera and shot the woman. Morgan had no choice but to shoot the kid. Kate was mad at the media as they provoked the kid to shoot the woman using the nail gun. William and his hostage survived.
