Fans of Yousuke Takahashi’s “Mugen Shinshi” recently launched a crowdfunding campaign to turn the mystery manga into a live-action film. Will fans be able to generate enough funds before its set deadline in November? Read on to learn more about this scoop.

“Mugen Shinshi” fans are excited to see their favorite mystery manga on the big screens, as a crowdfunding campaign to turn the manga into a live-action movie has been launched on Wednesday, Anime News Network reported. The outlet cited that the campaign, which aims to raise 1.4 million yen, has already earned 207,000 yen as of writing.

Supporters of the crowdfunding campaign will be given private screenings with their names mentioned on the film’s credits. Supporters will also have the chance to get autographed scripts of the film, including the privilege to enter the filming set for the movie.

The campaign also featured Takahashi’s pilot video for the “Mugen Shinshi” movie, which will cover the “Ningyo Jigoku” (Doll Hell) arc of the mystery manga. The Doll Hell arc was released in 1984 and featured a younger version of detective Mamiya Mugen.

“Mugen Shinshi” live-action movie will be directed and penned by Misako Unakami. She will be directing the movie together with Takashi Suganuma.

Meanwhile, some fans began wondering if it was necessary to turn such a successful manga into a live-action film, following the footsteps of the hit franchise, “Attack on Titan.” Reviews in the upcoming release of the live-action adaptation of the “Shingeki no Kyojin” manga are split in half, with others doubting on the success of the movie.

The latest trailer for the “Attack on Titan” movie showed a group of Titans destroying buildings and killing humans, Tech Times reported.

The humans, specifically the Survey Corps, go on an all-out war against the Titans and begin launching their grappling hooks in defense. A flaming giant enters the screen and begins attacking more humans when another titan enters the picture, but this one seemingly defends humans against his own kind.
