Former stars of long time crime drama show, “CSI” are about to return and the series finale of “CSI” is going to be a gruesome family reunion. Read on.
According to Cinema Blend, the two-hour broadcast of “CSI” that will air on Sept. 27, 2015 will bring back former cast members that are long absent from the Las Vegas investigative unit.
CBS has confirmed on Friday that William Peterson (Gil Grissom), who left in 2009 and Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows), who left in 2012, will joining the replacement Ted Danson, Jorja Fox and Eric Szmanda.
As everyone knows that “CSI” is the seventh longest running TV series from America. It follows Las Vegas Criminalists working for the LVPD to solve murder cases. “CSI” is mixed with character-driven drama. With the success of the show, the network later released its spin-offs, “CSI: Miami” and “CSI: NY,” both of which were later cancelled. “CSI: Cyber” was later announced and CBS has renewed “CSI: Cyber” and the last remaining Cyber series in “CSI” will get 10 p.m. slot from the coming fall.
Apart from the casting, the finale also promises to provide resolution for a fan base that struck together with the “CSI” when they started to change the leading players. And the fans who have been waiting a long time, will soon find that Elizabeth Shue, will not be joining the finale, nor will series star George Eads but to cherish the finale, Melinda Clarke is lightly to appear as morally ambiguous dominatrix Lady Heather.
It is still unclear how, the producers of “CSI” are going to deal with Elizabeth’s absence. The production of the two-hour long show will begin this July 29 in Los Angeles. Anthony Zuiker, the show creator is penning the script and Carol Mendelsohn, Ann Donahue are going to serve as executive producers.
We are looking forward to seeing Grissom back and Lady Heather, are you?
