From hot housewives to beautiful maids, we have another one coming from the creator of ABC's “Desperate Housewives” from ABC and Lifetime's “Devious Maids.” Our next stop is a series about American cheerleaders studying in prep school. Read on for the full details regarding this new TV series.
According to TV Line, Marc Cherry and Neal Baer from CBS' “Under the Dome”) will work on a new thriller series entitled “Cheerleader Death Squad.”Under the Dome”) will work on a new thriller series entitled “Cheerleader Death Squad.”
The story will revolve around a man, a former CIA agent who became a teacher at an elite high school in Washington, D.C. He will choose students and will transform them into spies. Since it’s a prep school, students have a lot of powerful and personal connections that will help him reclaim his position at the CIA.
Cherry and Baer will work together to write the script along with "Blue Bloods" writer Dan Truly. The trio will also work as executive producers of the show with Cherry's partner, Sabrina Wind of Cherry/Wind Productions.
"Cheerleader Death Squad" is described as “Heathers meet Alias” type of mystery dram, which will air on The CW. With the success of “Devious Maids,” which has recently been picked up for Season 3, as well as, the victorious “Desperate Housewives.”
As of this writing, other details about the show are still being kept under wraps.
