From his humble beginnings in Philadelphia, Bill Cosby has gone on to achieve great success over the last five decades as an entertainer, comedian, actor, producer, author, educator, musician, and activist. Bill Cosby’s youngest daughter, Evin, stepped up to defend her embattled father in the midst of the many rape accusations levelled at “The Cosby Show” star this year.

Evin Cosby, 38, released a statement showing her support for her 77-year-old father Bill Cosby after more than two dozen accusers came forward to reveal they were either drugged, raped or both by the comedian during the height of his popularity between the period covering 1960 to the mid-80s

"He is the FATHER you thought you knew.” Cosby’s youngest daughter told Access Hollywood. “The Cosby Show was my today's tv reality show. Thank you. That's all I would like to say.”

Evin also posted several messages in support of her whole family weathering the scandal, particularly Cosby’s wife, Camille who remains staunchly by her husband’s side.

"I met my husband, Bill Cosby, in 1963, and we were married in 1964," Camille Cosby said in a statement as published by Us Weekly.

"The man I met, and fell in love with, and whom I continue to love, is the man you all knew through his work. He is a kind man, a generous man, a funny man, and a wonderful husband, father and friend. He is the man you thought you knew," added Camille.

Some of Evin’s other Facebook posts referred to rape as a very serious matter, but that falsely accusing someone of rape is even worse.

All these statements of support come in the face of accusations from over 20 women, including supermodels, Beverly Johnson and Janice Dickinson, who in the recent weeks have pointed fingers at Cosby and alleged he had used the same modus operandi of drugging them before raping them.

Despite this, the funnyman has denied all charges of sexual assault and maintained his silence on the matter before he finally spoke out, taking the media to task for their failure to maintain excellent standards of journalism and delivering neutral reports of the news.

In public, the elder Cosby continues to display a blasé attitude towards his accusers, even mocking the whole situation in a recent stand-up comedy routine, as seen on this clip:
