“Dance Moms” star Abby Lee Miller finally answered rumors about her sudden weight loss. From the lap-band surgery and insane fitness routines to tricky diet plans, Miller denied all of those rumors. Read on for details.
The 49-year-old reality star told PEOPLE that she never planned to lose weight. She explained that it was all because of nonstop unfortunate events. First, she shared about the hospitalization of her mother due to colon cancer. She said that hospital food made her sick. She also suffered from stress after continuous hospital visits.
While her mother was suffering, Miller also got diagnosed with diabetes. She maintained medication which led to disaster in the show’s Australian tour. When she ran out of medicine in Australia, she bought a new set based on doctor’s prescription. For some strange reason, she kept on vomiting. She eventually lost appetite for the rest of the tour.
Sadly, Miller’s mother passed away in February 2014. After a quick rest, Miller proceeded to film for “Dance Moms” in a studio in Los Angeles. The hardest part was there was no air conditioning. Miller explained that the intolerable heat made everybody in the studio eat less.
Despite the positive remarks she received from friends and fans about her weight loss, Miller believed that she still has a long way to go.
“I’m not slim by any means,” Miller told PEOPLE.
Miller previously posted on Instagram a photo of North West sporting a white tutu and Penelope Disick, an all-black outfit. The two cuties of the Kardashians seemed to be heading to a dance class. The photo resulted to speculations that Kourtney and Kim Kardashian are going to be the new dance moms.
“Dance Moms” Season 5 airs every Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. on Lifetime.
