Dance Moms Cast Update: Maddie Ziegler Returns on Dancing with the Stars

Dance Moms” fans will never want to miss the upcoming “Dancing with the Stars” (DWTS) results episode. Maddie Ziegler is returning on “DWTS” on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, with the singing sensations Josh Groban and Carly Rae Jepsen. Read on for details.

The official Twitter account of “DWTS” teased that Ziegler is going to perform while the slow elimination progresses for the semi-finals. Aside from Abby Lee Miller’s favorite dancer, Jepsen and Groban will also appear.

Derek Hough and Ziegler were obviously having fun during rehearsals. Both posted on Instagram how playful they were as they joked about Ziegler’s “contemporary eyeball dance” on Sia’s music videos.

It is not the first time Ziegler will perform on “DWTS.” USA Today reported that Ziegler danced with Allison Holker to Sia’s hit song “Chandelier.” It was definitely the live counterpart of the original music video because of the same choreography and set. Holker wore the same skin-toned suit leotards and platinum blonde wigs as Ziegler. Sia was also singing live while hidden in the shadows.

Last week on “DWTS,” Mark Ballas and Willow Shields were eliminated. For this week, it will be double elimination after the Monday “America’s Choice” and trio performances of the remaining six pairs. Sources suggested that Robert Herjavec and Chris Soules are most likely to leave the show. On the other hand, Noah Galloway, Riker Lynch, Rumer Willis and Nastia Liukin are going to be in the semi-finals.

“Dance Moms” Season 5 airs every Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. on Lifetime. Ziegler is one of the members of the popular dance group Abby Lee Dance Company (ALDC).
