‘Dance Moms’ Season 6 News and Cast Updates: Will Abby Lee Miller Star in Her Own Series?

“Dance Moms” Season 6 has already been confirmed, as casting calls for the next season are already posted on the show’s website. While ALDC coach Abby Lee Miller is already confirmed to return for the upcoming season after airing her sentiments against Lifetime and its producers, it looks like the show might be moving on without its lead dancer, Maddie Ziegler. Can “Dance Moms” survive without the 12-year-old dancer? Read on to learn more about this scoop.

Maddie Ziegler rose to fame in the Lifetime reality series “Dance Moms” and since then, the 12-year-old star scored several projects, including her appearance in Sia’s music videos for “Chandelier,” “Elastic Heart” and “Big Girls Cry.” Ziegler also recently landed a role in the ABC Family series, “Pretty Little Liars,” wherein she expressed doubts about returning for “Dance Moms” and her desire to return to PLL.

“I’m not sure what’s going to happen for season 6. I don’t know if I’m going to do it or not, so it just depends,” Ziegler previously told MTV Australia.

This statement immediately fueled speculations that Ziegler will soon be leaving the Lifetime reality series and moving on to new shows. Ziegler recently entered the world of modeling, as she has recently made her runway debut for Polo Ralph Lauren, Huffington Post reported.

The outlet cited that Ziegler made her runway debut while sporting three different ensembles for the fashion line and even walked next to her sister, Mackenzie during the finale.

Meanwhile, Kendall Vertes seemingly dissed her former co-star Chloe Lukasiak during one of the “Dance Moms” specials. Design & Trend reported that Vertes recalled her encounter with Lukasiak during last year’s competition.

“I know kids at other studios are my competitors, but I didn’t realize that my own teammates could be one of my biggest archrivals,” she said.

Vertes went on and recounted that Lukasiak was supposed to perform first, but the latter asked the producers to change the lineup. She believed that the person who performed last often had a lasting impression on the judges.

“Chloe took that from me,” Vertes added.
