The wait for the winner of “Dance with the star season 21” is finally over as the names of the contestants who stood first, second and third were finally announced on Tuesday. The show which started on September 14th ended on 24th November 2015 amidst a lot of dancing and great pomp and show. Read on to find out who was the winner and what all events took place during the final episode of the show.
No prizes for guessing, Bindi Irwin and sixth time winner Derek Hough were crowned the champions of season 21. Sharna Burgess and Nick Carter came second followed by Lindsay Arnold and Alek Skarlatos who took the third position. This season has set several records. The total number of perfect score that has been awarded this year is 23. Also, the total number of stars who received perfect score was counted to be 7. The winner of the champion herself recorded 8 perfect score and joined Shawn Johnson who had won the contest when she was 17 as the youngest winner of “Dance with the star show”.
The 17 years old star had the winning spirit right from the beginning. Pairing with the show’s most popular dancer Derek was an added advantage. Bindi’s final dance was a combination of Argentine tango and cha cha. The flawless performance earned her a perfect 30.
As the three pairs waited patiently to hear the result, Irwin was extremely overjoyed and overwhelmed when her name was announced as the winner by Tom Bergeron who was hosting the show. She said, “Thank you so much — I can’t believe I’m here, thank you for changing my life”. Nick carter who was declared second said he will carry the experience he had here forever. Also he appreciated Irwin’s performance stating, “Bindi deserved it, she kicked butt.”
It was not only about the dance performances of the leading three pairs, the episode also had dance performances by Andy Grammer and Chaka Khan. Former contestant star, Kim Zolciak who had to withdraw in the middle of the competition due to some health issues, paired with Tony Dovolani to give a lovely dance performance.
