The cast of “Dancing with the Stars” was rumored to include the transgender reality TV Star Caitlyn Jenner, but the rumors have proven to be false. Caitlyn has reportedly refused to star in the show.
“Dancing with the Stars” season 21 was supposed to include the recently out transgender reality TV star, Caitlyn Jenner. But she reportedly turned down the offer with a curt, “No, thank you,” the Christian Today website reported recently.
Jenner’s publicist told Entertainment Tonight that they had inquired if she was interested in participating in the show and she refused to join the participants. He told them that her response was succinct and to the point. She refused with a simple, “No thank you.” That was the extent of the communication. He also told the press that there weren’t any negotiations on the matter.
Rumors about Jenner being part of “Dancing with the Stars” season 21 cast had been doing rounds on the internet ever since Derek Hough had stated last month that he was going to return to the series’ 21st season as Caitlyn Jenner’s dance partner. A similar statement had been released by Val Chmerkovskiy. Apparently, the cast were looking forward to working with Caitlyn, but it didn’t happen.
Jenner has been in the spotlight ever since she graced the cover of Vanity Fair Magazine. Ever since Jenner had declared that she is a “woman in a man’s body,” fans have been wondering if she would join the upcoming season of “Dancing With The Stars.” Jenner won’t be the first transgender to get on to the dance floor on the ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.” Fans would remember that Chaz Bono got to seventh place with Lacey Schwimmer in “DWTS” season 13.
Many other members of the Kardashian/Jenner family have also danced in other seasons of the “Dancing with the Stars” series. Fans would remember that Kim Kardashian was part of season 7 and was the 3rd contestant to be eliminated, while Rob Kardashian was part of season 13 and won 2nd place in the finale.
