ABC has revealed which professional dancers will compete for the ‘Dancing With the Stars’ trophy.
ABC has revealed the names of professional dancers who will compete for the popular dance competition, ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ It was revealed that Derek Hough will be hanging around for the current season along with a host of other dancers. The other professional dancers to join the show will include, Val Chmerkovskiy, Witney Carson, Artem Chigvintsev, Peta Murgatroyd, Mark Ballas, Sharna Burgess and Allison Holker. Each one of them will vie for the trophy in Season 21, but Derek will probably be the most desperate, because he has been on the show since 2007 and would probably like to win the trophy this time after two botched attempts in the last two seasons. He would obviously want to set new records on the show by winning the trophy for the sixth time.
Access Hollywood reported that Derek Hough was going to quit after this season, but it is really hard to believe that this might happen. Hough has made declarations about quitting before and has stayed on for the show every season. After all Hough has set the record for being the only professional dancer to collect five Mirror Ball Trophies. And that isn’t all. He was the first professional dancer to achieve back-to-back wins continuously for two seasons. He has collected 37 perfect scores and over 200 perfect 10s in his DWTS stint.
Ibtimes reported that Karina Smirnoff has told the fans that she would be returning to join the cast. The announcement was made through her Instagram account. It was also announced that veteran judge Len Goodman would not be appear on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ in Season 21. It was announced that Goodman had some unresolved scheduling conflicts. He may appear as a special guest in some episodes.
‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 21 begins on Monday, Sept. 14.
