Bindi Irwin has been officially announced, on August 24, as the first celebrity contestant to join the season 21 of “Dancing with the Stars.” Read on to know more details.
The“DWTS” show’s Facebook page disclosed that the actress would appear as the first celebrity contestant for the season 21, reported Newsmax.
“#DWTS welcomes our first star of the new season, Bindi Irwin!” revealed the show’s Facebook page.
According to Good Morning America, the 17-year-old daughter of the late “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin was announced to join the cast of season 21 of the ABC reality TV dance competition show, as the first celebrity contestant.
Well, Irwin feels “honored” to appear on the show as a contestant. The Australian actress, who has been spending most of her time with the squabbling crocodiles, said that the opportunity as the celebrity contestant in the “Dancing with the Stars” show is “completely different to anything” she has ever done in her life.
She further said that she is nervous to dance, as she is scared of the judges more than the crocodiles. However, she is thrilled and excited about the new experience.
People reported that Irwin was in north Queensland for her family’s annual crocodile research trip before flying to Los Angeles to get ready for the upcoming season 21 of “Dancing with the Stars” show. The trip was to the Steve Irwin Wildlife Preserve, where she studied the behavior of crocodiles for a month.
Bindi Irwin is not a stranger for limelight. Indeed, she made her appearance on television in “The Crocodile Hunter” along with her father from the age of two until her father’s sudden death occured due to stingray attack when she was just 8-year-old. Irwin then concentrated on her father’s “wildlife conservation efforts.” She has even made her appearance on TV shows and films such as “Bindi’s Bootcamp,” “Bindi: The Jungle Girl,” and “Steve Irwin’s Wildlife Warriors.” She has also co-created a book series, “Bindi Wildlife Adventures.”
Now, Bindi Irwin is ready for her new experience with the ABC reality show. She may soon be best known as the “Dancing with the Stars” champion.
