Daniel Craig starrer “Spectre” has already been released and making good money. The film has received mixed reviews but will not be able to match up the success of “Skyfall” the way it looks now. With many statements made by Craig earlier, it is clearly evident that he is not willing to work further with 007 spy franchise. Despite his comments, producer Michael G. Wilson still thinks Craig would reprise his role for the 25th entry for the Bond franchise. Read on to find out more about Daniel Craig bond scoop ahead.
According to Screenrant, 47-year-old Craig is not contractually obligated to return in any upcoming Bond flick, in spite of that Wilson on being asked about more sequel of Bond series mentioned, “I think we’ve got Daniel Craig”- it is indeed surprising.
Similarly, what happened with director Sam Mendes who was supposed to move out from franchise after “Skyfall,” but later reprised himself for “Specter.” Wilson believes that Craig might also change his mind and will return to the spy franchise.
In the meantime, Craig has also stated that he had a terrific time while doing “Spectre” but in being asked about reprising as bond again, he mentioned that he does not want to think about it. Well, it’s an open end basically.
Choosing a new Bond will be affected by the studio owning distribution rights. There might be some influence on the casting of bond if the bid goes out from the hands of Sony, which has released four Daniel Craig films till now.
The 25th bond film might be an altogether new version of franchise featuring a new 007.
