Fans of “the boy who lived” are ecstatic to know that another epilogue of the “Harry Potter” series has been released by author J.K. Rowling earlier this week. However, lead star Daniel Radcliffe has no plans of reprising his famous role. Read on to learn more about this scoop.
The actor who has actively brought the story to life, Radcliffe made it clear to a press conference that he isn’t feeling any inclination to go resume his role as Harry Potter.
“I don’t know. My inclination is to say, ‘No,’ I don’t think it’s a question — not even a hypothetical at this moment,” answered Radcliffe when asked about his opinion in the possibility of reprising the iconic role in a satellite interview from New York during the Television Critics Association press conference in July 2014,. He also disclaimed that there isn’t really a project that is in the works at the moment.
As a matter of fact, there isn’t really any promise that there will even be a production to look forward to as no one has even asked him to do anything at the moment. According to Variety, the British actor admitted that he hasn’t even read the short story just yet, but he fervently wishes to once he’s gotten the right time to do so.
As reported by the Business Standard, Rowling’s story takes place years after the first epilogue was released. Harry was there, attending the Quidditch World Cup with his friends and family. From the actor’s understanding alone, he knew that the composition is very short, and it isn’t fairly enough to really kick start a reboot of the blockbuster movie franchise. Moreover, the story also depicts a version of Harry Potter who is at least 12 years older than the 24-year-old star.
With his recently shared opinion on the matter, verified site TheBookSeller.com and Rowling’s representative confirmed that there will no longer be an eighth “Harry Potter” book as the bestselling author no longer intends to write further adventures for the older version of the famous wizard. As it would seem, Harry Potter has already gone through enough life-defining escapades.
Despite the fact that Daniel Radcliffe is not interested in taking up the role at present, he assured the media that nothing is still set on stone on such promising matter. He even emphasized that he’s lucky to be given the right amount of time to contemplate. Reprising the Harry Potter role may be quite bleary for the British actor, but he is currently engaged in a movie project alongside John Hamm of “Mad Men,” famed for “Young Doctor’s Notebook” sequence that will be aired during the fall 2014 in Octavio.
Looks like it’s time for “Harry Potter” fans to be moving on with their lives for now because it’s quite clear that there are no further projects for the franchise. Continue to check Movie News Guide (MNG) for the latest updates in the entertainment world.
