Is it true that Daniel Radcliffe is turning to directing? Read on for more details.
Xpose.ie reported on Saturday, November 14, that “Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe is turning to directing. The 26-year-old British actor has admitted that he has been penning a screenplay and that he is desperate to bring it to life in the future.
Radcliffe said that he’s been writing a quite dark, but funny screenplay. He also added that he is planning to step behind the camera to bring his project to life in the near future. In his recent interview with Marie Claire magazine, he said: “I’ve written one thing that I’m working on and I’m going to try and maybe start directing that in the next few years.”
Radcliffe also revealed that he is following director Martin McDonagh’s advise to him. He also said that he intends to write something spectacular before making a film of his own. This is what Director McDonagh told him: “Just write something spectacular and then work out how it can happen.” What a nice advice!
One of Radcliffe’s upcoming film includes “Victor Frankenstein,” which will be released on November 25. He plays the role of Igor, Victor Frankenstein’s sidekick. The role of Victor Frankenstein is played by Scottish actor James McAvoy. Radcliffe said that he had a great time filming with McAvoy.
“It was like this crazy big adventure movie. But it’s also very character driven. It’s about the relationship between these two men and how they spur each other on,” he shared.
It will be recalled that Daniel Radcliffe got Hollywood Walk of Fame star on Thursday, November 12. The actor joked that he was still not convinced about it. He added, “I’m still not convinced there hasn’t been some sort of mistake. I didn’t realize quite how overwhelmed I would be when I got here.”
