“Daredevil” Season 1 Episode 10 “Nelson v. Murdock” aired on Friday, April 13, 2015 at 12:01 a.m. on Netflix.  In this episode, Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson), who just discovered the vigilante’s identity, confronted his best friend, Matthew “Matt” Murdock (Charlie Cox) about it. Meanwhile, Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) and Ben Urich (Vondie Curtis-Hall) got closer to discovering Wilson Fisk’s (Vincent D’Onofrio) past; while a new enemy came up and targeted Fisk’s loved ones.  Read on to learn more about this episode.

The episode began where it picked off from, with Matthew “Matt”  Murdock (Charlie Cox) waking to find out that he had been patched up by someone. Foggy Nelson (Elden Hensen) then informed him that his nurse friend, Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) had patched him up, and wondered if Matt was truly blind. They then remembered the first time they met each other at Law School, as they had just discovered that they were roommates.

Back in the present, Foggy couldn’t believe that Matt had never told him that he could see, even if he only could see things as if the world was on fire. After telling Foggy that Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) and a ninja named Nobu (Peter Shinkoda) were the ones who blew up Hell’s Kitchen, Foggy told Matt that he couldn’t believe that he was being a vigilante, acting outside the law instead of using it. As Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) started calling them, Foggy wondered out loud if Matt always hit the ignore button when they were worriedly calling him up, afraid for his safety. He then told Karen that Matt had gotten into an accident, and demanded that Matt tell him everything.

Meanwhile, Madame Gao (Wai Ching Ho) met up with Fisk in order to warn him that she knew that he had been conflicted as of late, as he had changed after meeting Vanessa Marianna (Ayelet Zurer). She then warned him that he would soon have to choose a side, whether to be the city’s oppressor or savior.

At the hospital, Doris Urich (Adriane Lenox), in her lucid moment, told her husband, Ben Urich (Vondie Curtis-Hall) that she knew that his best work was yet to come. He was then told that her extension had been denied, which left him with only one choice- to put her in hospice care. Back at the Bulleting, Ellison (Geoffrey Cantor) told him that a position with better pay and better benefits was opening up at Metro, which meant that he would become an editor instead of a reporter.

Meanwhile, Matt tried to explain to Foggy that a blind old man named Stick (Scott Glenn) had taught him to fight and told him the extent of his enhanced senses. Foggy then realized that Matt had known, ever since, when he had been lying.

A flashback then showed how the pair dreamed up of having a firm called Nelson and Murdock, just before graduation. It was during that night that Matt told Foggy that his relationship with a particular Greek girl hadn’t worked out.

Meanwhile, after Ben told Karen that he was quitting, as he was leaving all of his evidence with her, Karen asked him to go with her to an expensive nursing home. There, she talked to an old woman, Mrs. Vistain (Phyllis Somerville), who turned out to be Wilson Fisk’s mother. She then began to tell Karen and Ben what he had done as a boy.

A flashback was then shown on how instead of accepting a full time job and Landman and Zack, Matt and Foggy decided to quit after Matt realized that the firm preyed on the weak.

Back at Matt’s place, Matt told Foggy that he had never killed anyone, and told him that he had tried not to fight back against the violence in the city, but one day, right after they quit Landman and Zack, he realized that he couldn’t turn a blind eye anymore, as the law wasn’t helping those who needed it the most. That’s how he had started becoming a vigilante, and told Foggy that he wouldn’t stop as he didn’t want to. Foggy then told him that he was quitting their relationship as Matt’s actions had put him and Karen into trouble as well, and told him that he would have told Matt everything if he were in Matt’s shoes.

Meanwhile, at a gala reception, after Fisk’s speech, people began to collapse as a result of the champagne they had drank, which included Vanessa.

Another flashback was then shown of Foggy and Matt at Josie’s, where Foggy drew a template of the sign that they were going to have one day.

Back in the present, Foggy went to the office, collected his things, threw their sign in the trash, and walked out.
